NAMPA GOLD EXCHANGE
Planning a Nampa jewelry or bullion review
Photograph your items and their readable markings before asking about an evaluation. Tell the team that Nampa is your preferred Idaho Pawn location so follow-up can be directed appropriately.
Keep matching pieces, packaging and useful documentation together. Ask what the store needs for a transaction without sending identification or payment information in the inquiry form.
Confirm the location, current hours and availability directly before your visit. An online review helps prepare the conversation; the store confirms material, condition and final terms in person.
OUR LOCAL RECOMMENDATION · NAMPA
Start with Idaho Pawn & Gold.
Bring your Canyon County gold, silver or estate items to the Caldwell Boulevard store. Public metal pricing gives you a starting point before discussing a sale or an item-backed pawn loan.
This guide and Idaho Pawn & Gold share ownership. We feature our own store first; this is our recommendation, not an independent ranking.

Know before you go
Nampa is open seven days. For an estate collection, group bullion, collectible coins and jewelry separately so the team can consider more than metal weight.

Our mail-in estimate uses 80% of verified gold or silver melt value. Bullion is quoted by the specific coin or bar using the public price sheet. Designer jewelry, diamonds, Rolex watches and Louis Vuitton pieces may have resale value beyond their material content and need a separate evaluation.
For example, 80% of $1,000 in verified melt value is $800. A bullion offer at 95% of $1,000 in metal value would be $950. These illustrate how to compare an offer; 95% is not a guaranteed rate or a claim about what other local businesses pay.
Ask each buyer for the weight, purity, market reference, any deductions and the final amount you receive. Offers can differ by item, condition, demand and collectible premium.
Estimates are subject to inspection and current pricing. Confirm shipping and payment arrangements with the team before sending anything.

Sell it, or keep a path to getting it back?
Sell to a buyer
You exchange the item for an agreed payment. Compare the final amount after testing and any fees. Ask a pawn shop about an outright purchase too; selling does not require taking a loan.
Estimate a mail-in sale →Ask about a local pawn loan
If you want the item back, ask a local pawnbroker whether it accepts your item as collateral. Before signing, compare the cash advanced, APR, total repayment and redemption deadline. You can lose the item if you do not redeem it under the agreement.
A buyer listed in this guide may not offer loans. Confirm services directly. Our 80% melt calculator estimates a purchase payout, not a loan advance. CFPB: pawn transaction disclosures.
Questions to take to a pawn shop
- What will I receive today, and what is the total to get my item back?
- What are the due date, any grace period, and the cost of a renewal?
- How will my item be described, stored and returned? What happens if I miss the deadline?
- What would you pay to buy it outright instead? Can I take a copy of both offers?
Before you accept an offer
Confirm the specific item, weight, purity assumptions, total payable amount, any costs, and the handling plan. Do not rely on a catalog figure as a locked offer.
Local visit or an Idaho review?
A local buyer may let you discuss testing and payment in person. Our online photo review goes to Idaho Pawn & Gold in Idaho. Compare both paths on the amount payable, testing, timing and the cost of getting your item back if you decline.
For ordinary gold or silver, our starting mail-in estimate is 80% of verified melt value. Designer jewelry, diamonds, collectible coins, Rolex watches and luxury goods such as Louis Vuitton need separate evaluation for value beyond metal content.
